Bio
Lyne Bond, Hon. B.Sc, D.Sc.O, D.O.M.P., is the owner of Bond Osteopathic Clinic in Bala, Muskoka. For the last twenty-five years, she owned the Uxbridge Osteopathic Clinic and the Newmarket Bond Osteopathy Clinic.
Lyne graduated from the University of Waterloo in 1984 with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science and a minor in Kinesiology. Lyne did her undergraduate thesis on the effects of stress on the adrenal glands in rats. She worked for 6 years in the cardiology area as the national sales manager for Quinton Medical Instruments.
After spending time at home with her two children, Lyne went back to school and attended the Canadian College of Osteopathy. She defended her thesis and received her Doctorate of Osteopathy in Manual Practice in 2004.
Lyne has spent over five years on the Board of Directors for the Al & Malka Green Artist’s Health Centre, Toronto Western Hospital. She was involved in bringing Osteopathy into the hospital. This is a first in Canada. The Centre’s inter-professional team offers both medical and complementary care to professional creative and performing artists, and to the students and staff at the post-secondary arts institution. She now sits on the Advisory counsel for the clinic.
Lyne continues to take graduate courses and improve her skills in Osteopathy. She focuses on children, concussions and sports injuries.
Lyne has 2 adult children, one grandson, 2 dogs and a Maine Coon cat.
